La Minita is known as being the crown jewel of the Tarrazu Valley in Costa Rica. Despite its phenomenal reputation of the highest quality coffee, they do not shy away from new techniques and experimentation. In 2010, the same year we launched Beacon, a outdoor drying patio was built at the Beneficio. They start with close to one million pounds of green coffee, which is then hand sorted for the highest quality with less than half of that making the cut. One third of that is separated to be sun-dried, hence the name: Del Sol. The slow sun-drying process lends it self to a well balanced and sweet coffee. That combined with La Minita’s always consistent cup, this is a coffee that year after year always impresses us. A solid cup that will please even the most distinguished palates.
Tasting notes: medium bodied, consistent cup from beginning to end. Beautiful notes of stone fruit, round sweetness and nice balanced acidity.
ORDERING INFORMATION
All bags are 12 ounces. Orders received by end of day Wednesday will be roasted and shipped that same week. If received after, it will be roasted/packed the following week.
